Also, the fuel chip is on the side that does not have the MAP sensor. So on the top side.
And make sure you insert the chip with the notch facing the correct way
No worries mate. Not your fault. Tried another ecu and same fault. Memory fault. So looks like the EPROM. Got another n75 to rule out and then back onto doug.
Pulling the code on the spare ECU with the fuel map in from the original ECU still pulls the internal memory error, but no other codes after a short run.
You can do an output test on N75 using vag-com.
I doubt it's the N75 valve, your MAP connection as well as your chip are bad.
I think this too, the only reason I am thinking it may be something else too is that A: it progressively got to this point, B: with the second ECU it had a different boost map but still did not boost.
Check the 2 ecu fuses in the fuse box, maybe one of these is corroded, also the 2 multipin connectors on the bulkhead for water ingress and the brown ground wires on the inlet manifold. The engine bay hasn't been steam cleaned or jet washed has it? otherwise it sounds like the ecu.
Found the codes from the first time I pulled them.
Code 1
00515 Hall Sendor -G40 sporadic: Signal at positive
Code 2
00519 Intake manifold pressure sender sopradic: Signal too low
Code 3
00513 G28 (irrelevant as engine was not running)
Code 4
65535 U48023 Internal control module memory checksum error
Done on Launch X431
The Hall sender is I think not the problem because there is no starting issue. Also it still does not boost on partial throttle above 3.5 K and the hall sender only comes into play on WOT and above 4k. I will change it at some point anyway. Anyone remember the link to the sensors in the USA?
From which ECU is that ?
I am quite sure the 551A ECU of yours has a cold joint somewhere, as it is throwing random codes. Don't rush with replacing sensors...
P.S. If you have a chip programmer, I can probably fix that 65535 error for you...
