that is not a white sensor, that is the oil pressure sender and next to it is the dipstick. Oil could be coming from either these 2 at their bolts.

The little one is the oil pressure switch, one above is oil pressure sender.
Never seen either of them leak but I suppose there is a first time for everything.

F1 oil pressure switch. Very common failure point. Will p*ss out oil in a stream and empty the sump in short order.

056919081E is the correct 1.8 bar switch, very common across the Audi and VW line (but not the UrS6 which used a 1.4 bar switch). Dealer or aftermarket but Dealer is probably safer. More info here:

I had to change mine a few weeks back for the same issue. Ended up having to pull the radiator out to get at it, good luck

Sometimes I think its quicker to just bite the bullet and take the rad out, I can do mine in 10 mins now (but I don't have AC or the plastic shrouds), you can be sure they're done up correctly too. Good opportunity to check and clean the MFTS connections too. And the small hoses circled in the post above

If you don't want to take the radiator out because you don't want to loose the coolant or you have A/C then you can remove the power steering hydraulic pump instead and get to the oil pressure switch that way.

Equally if you don't have A/C, you can remove the top radiator stay, loosen but not remove the bottom radiator mount, undo the side radiator mount where it attaches to the inner wing and you can tilt the top of the radiator forwards enough to reach the oil pressure switch without draining the coolant.
