That is a cute/coy answer but you avoided the real question: What is the cost of remap to adjust the dwell so it works with the 1.8t coilpacks, e.g. I have RS2+ (Stage 3) chips, all I need is the dwell adjustment. What is that going to cost me?

If you send me the fuel .bin, I guess I can do it for 20 EUR or something and send the .bin file back.
      Symbolic fee really.

That would be a good price IF I had a chip reader/burner and the associated software to access the .bin files and rewrite them. I am sure the total cost would be greater than the price differential between a 1.8t coilpack kit and say EFI Expresses LS2 kit.

If you have a chip tuner near you you could take your chip and have them read and copy it then send the chip to PRJ and he could read it and burn you a new one with the correct dwell settings and send it back to you. Shouldn't cost very much at all, the chips are well 'as cheep as chips'.

Hopefully my 5 'high output' coils will work ok when I eventually get around to firing the old banger up. There won't be much lost if they don't, as they only cost me £16.

You left it unattended on page 2 and it went off on it's own and got in a right mess.
A thread is like a garden, they need constant attention, if you leave them for a while you will come back to find weeds everywhere and looking nothing like you left it.

Disagree. What evolved was a discussion of the merits of the various coilpacks that are available and that you *could* use in your 3B to coilpack conversion. You just got more information than you initially asked for. I think it was all good.

As above, the thread has started to address a range of issues relating to coil packs on both variants of our engines and some good information has come out, some of which is relevant when converting your 3B to coils If it gets too complex then we'll split it; can't say fairer than that

Cheapest eBay writer is like 25 euros.
A flash chip is 4 euros, which you can rewrite over and over again.

And who says that the dwell is good for the 034 coils? From my experience they need a bit more dwell at idle

I wonder if the ebay kit would work on a 200 20v anyone know? Looks pretty simple really, I thought the conversion was much more involved swapping a lot of pins at the ecu connector and such? I'm sure one could make up their own harnesses for a lot less.

Haha, Yes I left it unattended

Then it got complicated and my brain started to hurt

Actually Andy I think you'll find you started it by bring the ABY in.. I think we could leave it alone though.
