    audi s2 aby...

Ive got some issuse with my s2, and i'm out of ideas now and is starting to think about aftermarket engine management. the car dies on idle and cuts while driving its like you turn the ignition on and off and it always start without any problems. ive got no fault codes in vagcom. It get worse when the car gets up to temprature

I have tested 2 diffrent boxes 3 diffrent chips, changed the mfts, knock sensors crankshaft positioners, pressurised the system. changed spark plugs, the throttle positioner. the air flow meter. new 115r coils

Any body got any idea ?

I second the ignition switch. In one that's worn out, the contacts inside get hotter as you drive and then fail until you give the switch a jiggle or thump. This has been happening on B4 lately, and I when I bought the S2 I had to drive 1400km back home in a hotwired fashion because of the same prob.
Bridge your connector at the back of the ignition switch (hotwire it) and see if the prob goes away.

Why would you consider going to an aftermarket engine management system when your testing with different ECUs has not improved the situation? Your problem is not related to the ECU, OE or not.

                          1. Change the electrical portion of the ignition switch. It is probably going to fail soon if it hasn't already. By changing it, you eliminate it as a usual suspect.

                          2. Find the ECU and Coil fuses (above the ECU). If they are thermal fuses, replace them with normal spade fuses. The thermal fuses can heat up, open up and stay open for a long time (or for forever)

                          3. Check and clean your MAF connection:

                          4. Examine the G40 Cam Position (Hall) Sender connection under the injector cover at the front of the engine. If the connection is good, it still could be the G40 cam sensor. They go flakey and will give intermittent failures:
