I guess he means in the turbo oil feed line. I've not got one on mine and never heard of it before, the oil is filtered anyway and if you change it regularly I would have thought it would be fine.

No newsh oil can have fine particles in it from engine wear , cam wear. It's standard for the life of garretts or ball bearing turbos to inline filter

You can search on here beeen covered many a time

I asked precision if its good to use a inline filter for my precision ball-bearing and thy said 'we don't recommend it' I did not asked why.

Never heard of it myself. Might ask the chaps who did my turbo as well. Thankfully hadn't had any issues

Today I did a dyno run with my RS2-setup.
What do you guys think? I'm very happy with the torque output, but I think I schould get a little more out of the power level.

Overall I think it's a very nice and smooth line; but I would have expected torque a bit earlier an max HP a bit later in rpm band, and few more ponies.

Is that complete RS2 setup? Turbo, cams, EM, IC, and injectors? What pressures are set, who did the mapping, is it done on this setup?

Was the dyno with air cooling, what was the temperature?

It's a compleet RS setup, cams included. The fuel pressure regulator is the 4bar one from the S2. I got chips on this setup from Prj. He also told me to keep the s2 fpr. The dyno was with aircooling. But I can't tell you the temperatures

With temperature I meant the normal air temp- when it's very hot outside, like 30°C, dyno numbers often are a bit lower

I personally do not really trust dynos- too many ways to get wrong or faked results.

I think, the only one who can give you a realistic answer in here is prj, because he knows his chips.

I think between 20 en 25°C. It was 9 in the mornig so It wasn't that hot yet.

If it's 3rd gear then it should spool quicker than that, normally you should use 4th as it's the closest 1:1 ratio in a 6 speed box

If it's a 5 speed then 3rd is the right gear and it's the right result.

@Roy: Thanks and thanks for coming with me to the dyno

@Jamo: The dyno-guy chose 3th gear because the 4th would take too long so the temperature could't rise too fast. But ok..

So the turbo schould spool quicker and the maximum power schould be in an higher rpm. Someting to do with the exhaust line? Is an wagner rs2 evo ehaust manifold, 3 inch dp wih 200cpi sportcat and RS4 B5 exhaust boxes (middle and rear).
