As far as i can see the coils are pinned out like this:

      Coil 1:
Pin 1: Connects to Pin 1 on all other coils and then to +12v from engine control relay.
      Pin 2: Earth
      Pin 3: Signal from ECU
      Pin 4: Earth.

this is the same for all the other coils.

      HTH,

      Cheers,

I tried the 1.8T coils yesterday and its gonna be too much hassle for me to use those ones. the mounting flanges are too wide and the neck the spark plugs goes on is too snug for my liking so im abandoning that idea. Ive fitted a spare coil from a mates car he had which has improved things alot but i think i need all new coils so the bank is gonna take a bit of a beating when I have to pay for a new set.

S2 Sedan I tried the 1.8T coils from an AQX engine but i wasnt happy with the fit, the case of each one would need trimming down and the diameter of the lead going to the spark plugs was a snug fit down the hole.

Ive got a load of coils sitting at my house, went in with jim and bought ten
