Ok A problem won't start

Ok,engine is now completed but won't start. It started for one time but now no use.

Problem :

Trying to start it but no electricity on sparks, electricity goes to distributor(coil pack or whatever it called on 3b) , but nowhere from there !

Any ideas ?

Well perhaps a bad distibuter, mine die the other day but you might be able to start the car anyways.

Simple put the car in gear, well 3rd og 4th and then push the car a bit back and forward. Then try to see if you can start it, worked for me a couple of times before i got it to the garage.

Check the timing marks syill all line up?

I think then I'd be checking all the sensors and their plugs, hall sensor in distributor and flywheel sensors. ECU connection.

1) is the dizzy turning -> gear ok
2) is the timing right both engine timing and dizzy alignment
3) hall sender
4) flywheel 62 degree peg and its sensor

That's the most obvious ones.

Where is hall sender located in 3b ? same place as in aby ? Behind Camwheel ?

Will be checking sensors on monday.

Checked dizzy (fine) , checked flywheel pin fine

And is there a way to check if hall sensor/flywheel sensor is faulty without buying one ?

The 3b hall sender is in the dizzy, i had one pack in last year.

Porskis , ok BAD NEWS.

1) dizzy turning , I have a metal gear
2) How can I check that ? Is there any tutorial on correct timing , maybe I missed something , FOund a dizzy alignment , but what about engine timing ?
3) hall sender - check all working
4) flywheel peg is on the place and sensor is fine

Could this be due to the High lift cams installed or Adjustable Cam gear ?

I'm gonna check the car with vag com in few days , can't think of anything now .

Sweeper just had this on the ur forum today, same story, look for zero in timing windo in bell housing then check marks in dizzy.

Well today she run , happy happy me. THe problem was in the new adjustable cam gear, dunno why but it didn't allow to start the engine :/. Put old one and now everything is fine. Guess timing on the gear was set wrong(if such thing exists).

Now will put everything in place , lot of work for a weekends I guess . Hehehe :evil:

Heh , don't know . Give it to a proper mechanic , it should work fine.

It's just i removed it for a while , till the engine will be fully built and run fine , than it will be put back. I guess it's becouse it had different, non standart option in the first place.

Robo: All fine , installed adj cam gear. Finnaly discovered the problem , it was ECU WIRING. Must have push it while was removing alarm.

Now another small problem , I don't get Oil Pressure Reading on the AUX dials. What can be the problem ??? Sensor ? Where is it located ?

P.S. Car sounds soooo sweet (with even exhaust removed) , hehehe , she gonna be on the road sooooonnn. All left is to install radiator , clima and new intercooler.
