Is a B3 Chassis Hood with RS2 lights possible?

Originally I was planning to convert Project Mayhem (a US spec 1990 Coupe) to a B4 hood, but now, for some undisclosed reasons (see picture below), I'm wondering about a B3 hood.

Can run a B3 hood with a B4 core support and RS2 headlights? Obviously I would need to most likely need to run hood pins, B3 under headlight trim (across the whole bottom), but what grille (<~ seems to a difficultly).

You can use the rs2 headlights with the b3 supports only one of the top screws will have a place to screw in but it is more then enough with 1 top and 2 bottoms, or you could drill it out for the second top mount, very simple.

Maybe a B3 with Sport Quattro vents, just tossing around the idea. I would love to be able to interchange the hood, grille and under-headlight trim, but I want to see if that's even possible.

I would like to know more about using the B3 hood and grille on a B4 core support.

I dont think thats going to be very easy dude, i wanted to do the same B3 with Rs2 lights, ive now just changed to B4 as it was easier to fit the RS2 lights. The slam panels are a little bit too different in order to interchange bonnets. For a start the bonnet pins are different separation slightly and the centre safety catch is completely different design. The b4 panel has no mounting points for the grill. If you want to interchange you will have to remove the bumper and completely swap out the three piece slam panel.

Alright, this being said, an you run a B4 hood on a B3 core/centre section?

I would be running aero hood pins instead of the bonnet pins and interchanging the centre latch assembly (if using it at all considering I would have hood pins), would it work then?

Heh, the car from the first post is mine It's oryginally B3 with B3 hood and B3 core/centre section. All You need is to remove mount points for the under lamp trim.
Grill has to be custom made also.

I must be really lucky, right now I'm running B4 projectors with B3 everything and in the past I've run a B4 hood with B3 everything. I want to say I simply swapped the B3 latch onto the B4 hood and adjusted the pins. I'll let you know in a few weeks when I get another B4 hood. The only downside is that you have to squeeze your fingers in to undo the safety latch. I'd bet you could make a rod off to the side though.

                    Question for Maro

Hi everyone, I'm a first time poster, about to embark on my first full build.

                    I have a 1990 CQ20v and a 1996 S620v, you can all guess what I'm about to do!
So in the near future I will start a new build thread and any advice you guys could give, will be greatly appreciated.

So first off I must apologize to Maro!
I had no intension of copying the look of your car(well done great looking car!) until that is I saw your grill.
I'd been scratching my head on how I can make a grill that would look right trimmed and shaped to fit the S2 headlights, I was going to change the whole front for the later one I have on a spare 1995 coupe, but I like the CQ front more and I don't want to make an S2 rep. I just want the power(500bhp is the goal), so one option was a MK2 golf de-badged gill. That was an option till I saw yours.
So my first question is where/how can I get one?
Is it a self made/modified grill?
                    Can I get one?

                    Thanks for reading.

                        Thanks.
I kind of get it needs to be custom made, by who?
I wouldn't know where to start on that front, I'm not in the loop so to speak. This is my first full on build.(not a mechanic, more spanner monkey) I'm even worried about getting a skilled enough bodyshop in Ireland who can give me floorless work.
Any one up for this job?
So any help/advice you guys could give, in pointing me in the direction of someone who could make one for me, as well made as the one Maro has had made up. Lets be honest that's a well made custom grill, it looks manufactured its been so well made.

I would imagine Maro has done the work himself.

B3 is much badguy. B4 is more "feminist"
And yes, U can put the aby/adu lights but it has a problem; the grill.

You need two grills and cut and weld they
