So could it be something good small DIY guy who is still learning. Provided the machine works more or less like it should, the biggest obstacle would be the guy behind this machine

I bought a cheap 160A DC set to learn on then after a couple of years I wanted to upgrade to an AC/DC set. I was going to get a chinese one like the the one you linked, but I decided to save up and get the one I really wanted, which was this

Although, this one looks like great value

Bit of an old thread but finally replaced my Tig with an R-Tech 210 amp AC/DC (digital) machine. Went the whole hog, foot pedal, selection of tungstens, gas lenses and a 9 & 26 torch.

Great bit of kit and I've found it so easy to use...

My R-Tech Tig is still going stong after 3 years of abuse. Highly recommended bit of kit as a lot of the cheaper rigs can fail pretty quickly.

I'm after a replacement torch for my TIG setup. I find the torch supplied with my unit a bit large and the hose and sheath isn't particularly flexible. Has anyone any suggestions for a smaller, flexible head (WP17) torch with a really light weight hose? I can mod the connections if required to connect to my R-Tech plant. There are loads on e-Bay, but most are unbranded and probably poor quality. Any suggestions, air cooled?

You need a CK. I have this one:-

This is the 150a version but they do a 200a too. It's so light and flexible, you hardly know you're holding it, especially compared to the std R-Tech torch. You'll need an adaptor, but ring Rapid and tell them what set you have and they'll hook you up.

I replaced my Esab Caddy Tig 2200i ac/dc to Everlast 255EXT (3 -phase model) with pedal and I´m super happy. Everlast have much more amps to heat up aluminium at the beginning. Pedal is also easy to decrease amps once the puddle starts going.

I have been professionally using a Kemppi Mastertig MLS2300 with the extended arm. Light, portable, fairly high current capacity, but still a 230V socket and can weld both alu/stainless.
Have had it for close to 4 years now and it is used daily at the workshop, no issues.

Probably a bit out of budget for just using it for DIY in your spare time though.
