I agree with the above comment. Get some self-adhesive foam and repair the foam on the flaps in the heater box.Did mine whilst we did the matrix and it makes for a stronger air current, especially for de-misting the windscreen.

I also agree with that according to the fact that I see little part of it flowing out of the air vent....

What do you mean ?. Repair the matrix. Id just replace it, if this is your question. If you asking about the foam inside the heather. you,ll have to find some sticky back foam to replace the old stuff with.

Yes I'm speaking about the foam. Even the Big part of foam wich IS in front of the center console ? I've noticed that it is a Steel frame and the rest IS only foam....

yep, neoprene is the way to go -and tape the edges with fabric loom tape (tesa) so they don't peel off.

What thickness of neoprene foam do you chaps recommend? Will 1mm be sufficient?

Think I used 2mm, should be fine.

Don't you mesured the original foam? it seems that is't more than 2mm. Or, you take 2mm self adhésive and stick it face to face? Did you dismantled the flap?

Match what you have. No need to remove the flaps. Cut to size and use the self adhesive to stick down on the flap. Make sure it can still close properly. It's a 20 min job.

There really wasn't anything to match with on my flaps...

I know what you mean. It's all dust!
You can see the outline where it was and make a card template. I think the original was quite thin, maybe 2mm on mine or less.

I took the flaps out, cleaned off old dregs of foam and adhesive and stuck the new stuff on both sides so it ends up about 4mm thick then trim excess off round the edges to tidy up. Most of the old was gone though, blown out of the air vents over a period of time.
