Not sure what they're called but I need the plastic bits that screw in to the IM, as mine have gone brittle. Where's best to get them? Audi? Or are they standard fare that can be picked up somewhere else for less ££?

Allways remove the inlet manifold before attempting to replace these, bit of broken plastic going through your engine will do bad things to itsigpic

Apparently you need a smear of RTV on these when you put in the new ones as they leak boost. I did Lou's a short while back but they needed removing and sealing when the car was mapped on wednesday

I replaced all five before mapping the car last week. Three out of the five seats were leaking boost pressure. They fell to bits when we tried to remove them and ended up chiseling them out. A smear of RTV was used to seal them and they're now leak free. I doubt they will be too expensive from the stealers.Last edited by SteveH; 30 March 2013, 12:56.91 Modded 3B
