You could have still bought them and sold them to one of those avant drivers.

Stuff the people in the back - how many times to you sit in the back of your car.

yeah me too, funnily enough now you say it there was a little plastic blank which is where the lever would probably go. But it wasnt there, would rather get ones i can put straight in really though.

How much is one of those seats from audi? got the part no?

I'm no expert on this - but couldn't you get a frame that tips the entire seat forward rather than the seat folding forward in the middle? I know that a Land Rover discovery does this. Just a thought.

V nice seats, not so nice price. Plus need some that will sit lower in the car so my head fits in better.

with the flip forward bit I did think about that but there isnt enough clearance on a coupe between top of the seat and the roof so that wasnt really an option.

Nah make them climb through the hatch back!

seriously though, don't even consider having restricted access to the rear, if you car is down a ditch and the 'opening' seat is the lowest one and someone can't get out, you would never forgive yourself!

It happened a few years ago with someone I knew ( 2 door cortina and a bucket seat on the drivers side only), the car spun into a tree on the passenger side and the rear passengers couldn't get out, one of the 3 rear passengers got out, the other 2 died. I went to the funeral, sobering stuff when you are 17...

                          Leigh,

                          you're a cheeky young whippersnapper, It was a mk3 cortina and not a mark 1 or 2.

It was 1980, I was younger then and flares were still in fashion.

I saw the Police in Concert in the december of that year. I had to use my Mum's Daf 55 as my Minor was off the road ( nothing new there!).

It was great in the snow, it had a strannge CVT transmission, amazing stuff.

                          The good old days

                              You're not wrong John,

you are only as old as the woman you are feeling.

I have felt 0 years old for a while now

I hope it's warm in KL, unless you're back now.
