Yes it comes from the ecu. Forget about putting the BC in the tdi, there is no such signal from the ecu. sorry

      Thanks Skull.
      Just found that out.
Pin 9 on ECU's later than 1994 have a fuel consumption output, but not mine.
Even then, the later ECU's still need you to make and fit a PWM (pulse width modulator) for it to be half accurate.

      Thanks again.

        How about this idea:
        http://www.audifieber.de/audiforum/t...9-f%C3%BCr-TDI

Someone told me, cuz there's on the BC switch, between 'Diesel' and 'Petrol' mode.
so, if we have to install some PWM, why needs this switch?

p.s. does any body knows Audi b4 TDI with stock BC?

If you want to have true value of fuel consumption you may buy or do it by self like in article. But for what?To instal only Bc you have to find a wire form ECU responsible for fuel consumption(ussually yellow colour)like everything what wrote Skull

it is possible to do it, but it was not original. never. you need to have the lates 1Z engine, model year 1995 with 202nm torque, and make an interface for the consumption signal.

you mean, 1z with ECU "028 906 021C"? I think the difference just between ECU (if we talking about putting BC).

my 94 b4 tdi 1z with that one unit.

                                Hello

                                I can use a V6 bord computer and Autocheck with a 7A 20V engine?
There will be errors on the consumption or fuel indicators?

                                Thank you!
