D'Oh, just had a call from DT, no joy. Sort of knew that would happen. Have resorted to Ebay now...

Attached another PDF of numbers. 17 is lhs, 27 is rhs according to this. Useful.

Trying a few places in Germany, missed some on Ebay.de as I was waiting for DT

Did you get the height issue sorted out? I might just bolt to the floor if all else fails.

Height isn't great, possibly slightly lower than the minimum standard height. Although it was fine around Donny with my helmet on (doesn't touch the roof anymore) I think i'd like it slightly lower. We couldn't get it any lower though without hacking up the donor subframe and really complicating things!

Yeah, the Recaro one is about 1" lower than the leather.

Hmmm.... i'm possibly not too far off the Recaro height then.

I'll see if I can get some actual numbers with reference to something.

The head / sunroof interface is the only reference I understand

Hopefully find out soon if the mk.3 Golf subframes fit or not. From looking at pics it seems like the outside rear support leg is short.

I think I still have 2 of those subframes at home. I can have a look this WE if you want. Do you have the part number sothat I can check ?

But maybe a bit difficult, and espensive, to send it to GB ...

Andy, those pics look like the subframe will fit but shifting the whole seat to one side. One thing I noticed with the Recaro was that there is zero room either side. It just about hits the door on one side, and the base hits the trans tunnel on the other side. Might be just the seat I have though. Made making the subframe quite tricky at first!

Yeah, the S2 SFs do shift it right next to the tunnel, as do the OE seats if you look.
