Mine's not so bad after some creative tape use, will do some investigation when the water outside is no longer solid...

I just read up on this thread an I also got the "black triangle issue" on the driverside.
Mine also started after a windscreen replacement, before that it was absolute dry.
I can try the "tape on roofrack" trick, will put mastic kit in gap.
Interesting is the mentioned "difficult to reach rivets" would a picture be possible?
I checked the rivets but want to make sure I checked them all!
I really am getting pissed about the water in the footwell, I need to spunch out after some rain. It distroys the floorcarpet and isn't fine for things lying on the floor.
Thanks

I give up.... All my sponge and soundproofing was removed last year as it was impossible to recover due to water ingress. I am just going to drill some holes in the floor and rust proof the floor pans with POR15....
What I should of bought is one of these with and S2 engine and running gear.... It would be dryer....Attached FilesComment

yup mine was binned too....carpet is dry in the garage but unlikely it will ever be back in the car now...shes going to be a track car and they dont need flooring lolsigpic

I've now taped over the roof rack holes and the whole strip above the door
Will see how much difference it makes..
I'll try to get the rubber off this weekend and take some pics of the (missing) rivets. The other thing thats possible is that the end of rivets which have been drilled and pushed through are inside the channel and blocking the flow of water.., I can't actually push a piece of wire down the driver's side.Comment

Had the rubber off and replaced the missing rivets, also found that there was a blockage in the channel from the roof rack hole a few inches above the black triangle, maybe a bit of windscreen sealant or plastic, managed to poke it out so I can now get a piece of wire all the way from the roofrack hole to the end where it comes out below the black triangle, I've actually removed the tape over the oval holes where the rivets go, might as well let the water seep out there as its outside the seal.. Not sure if thats a good idea but will see how it goes.Comment

Blurry phone pic, the missing one is in the channel that the seal fits into.Attached FilesComment

I think I'm going to re-seal the fuse box and rear lights, not convinced that the garage that re-sprayed the arsend last year sealed the lights too well.
Where can you get the sealing cord nowadays? Used to come from VAG Parts, can you get it through TPS?
Anyone know if there's a gasket that seals the fusebox or if it's a DIY effort?
Looking at about £30 to get a new bonnet release and grommet.
Be nice to get all this sorted for about £100
