    Hi All,

Just been to my nearest (Kwickfit!!!) to check them out and the guy i spoke to was very helpful and we checked on the alignment computer for my model and came up with this:- "coupe quatro s2 '87-'93 except 6cyl" sounds like a 3b to me and was all we could find (no setting for sports or standard suspension), are there any differences between the 3b and ABY setup??? He also said i could take in a print out from "s2central.net" to compare alignment settings before any work was done (or money changed hands)...
    Any thoughts on using kwickfit???

    Cheers.

Not much help, but thought this might ammuse...

I asked for a full service at the only Audi dealership in my area (I am in Romania) , including cambelt, etc...
To which I was asked, "would you like the oil changed as well?"
Suffice to say, I said, no thanks, and no service either....
I found a very new small garage, who spent ages working on it, with me holding things and generally making sure they were doing the right thing...
All was perfect, charged me £250, including parts, NSF wheel bearing and anti roll bar link rods.
I ent back the following day, as they had a new 4 wheel alignment machine... They spent 7 hours, as most bolts were seized, tie rods very very seized (surprse, surprise)
Computer printout before and after, correct model, correct alignment, all for...wait for it...
      £20

The one good thing about living in a place like this, labour is cheap...just very hard to find anyone who is willing to either learn about or work on anything except a 1970 Renault 12
Anyway, its ok now, just need a new brake bomb...
(Ohj, and beer is about 20 pence a litre, Vodka around the same...)
Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...
'03 ZX12-R daily hack.... lots of nice bolt ons...

I have a special arrangement with my local stealership, and I pass this saving onto my customer's.
Full alignment (as long as nothing is siezed) for only £97.00 with complete printout of before and after.
Corey is that still the same price and how much does the price go up to if something is seized?

My mates changed job so no more allignments for me.

Just got back from MRC and the inside of both of my front tyres are wrecked, the outsides are fine so the car must be badly alligned (whats blooming next!)

Is that the one near Winchester on the A303? Have you never used Denmead tyre services?

Star Performance up here have installed this first in the UK
Beissbarth Touchless 4wheel alignment system , apparently just drive onto the system, no need for all the usual bits and pieces to be bolted onto wheels, doing away with potential damage and obviously saving a wee bit of time, there's an open day valeting/RR session up there on March 11, where they're doing alignment for £20

Apologies in advance for those who feel it heretical to reference a detailing forum from the Suspension & Steering Section

Detailing/Rolling Road Day Prestige Detailers and Scottishmini.co.uk have co-organised an event which will both allow you to view and demonstrate advanced car cleaning and maintenance techniques. The venue will be Star Performance in Kircaldy, Fife. It will all kick off at 9.30 am on the 11th...

Did my fronts today with two pieces of string and a tape measure .
Formed a perfectly parallel grid around the car and took measurements to the front and rear edge of each wheel rim.
Job done and its millimetre perfect now.
                      Cost = Nothing.
No monkeys messing round with my car and both my front adjusters were not seized - result

Could have done with this on April the 11th instead! I don't have all the bits for suspension revamp no 2 yet but will have it done by the end of the month.

Star did my alignment the last time and were fine - and that was at the old place...

Always had my wheels aligned at Jeff Fowlkes in Ibstock, gret service and the car has always felt 100% after driving out of there, and the even allowed me into the workshop to watch and get in the pit under the car to check a few otjher things while I awas there, Expensive though but worth it
