We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
not sure of the differences between the two but i know that the heat generated from the weld is normally what leads to failure in steel as it ruins the heat treatment on the metal. my guess from what has been said however is that the best varies from application to application, in a profesional racing application i would have thought the part would recieve heat treatment after the part has been fully assembled.

if you use steeelQualitet ST 52 or similar and weld it with MIG ; use the bøhler-tyssen auto repair wire..SG2H.... wery strong welding
had an other too; but i cant find it any more: BASSI auto repair wire, with no copper in...about 12 year since the last roll are gone
do NOT use the GRYTTORP 74: its really some S****!!
is it possible to make a longer stud that goes into the hub?
