I can't help here Carlos, but I'm happy to be a guinea pig on the upper wishbone bushes - cast variety - do we have any clue when samples might appear ? -
We have lift off...
News is the diff and subframe are now off and ready to go...to Powerflex.
Really not quite sure the whole lot will fit into my poor old 90?
Anyone able to help with the delivery?Attached FilesLeave a comment:

Right...
Next is the diff...what else apart from the obvious front/rear mounts needs to be disconnected, eg wiring or vacuum lines?

And for those who need piccies...
Exhaust is out of the way so next job is to take the diff off without breaking it or me...then the subframe.Attached FilesLast edited by Flat on my back; 25 June 2009, 15:07.Leave a comment:

Work so far done.
I now have the osr suspension unit off as well as the drive shaft...most of the nsr is also done.
Sorry it's taking some time as i can only do about 2 hours before my hayfever shuts my breathing down...

mcandmar: no need to take away lower wishbones, just drop the whole thing, much easier, and let powerflex do the rest of the job
as i said in order:
prob-bolts
there is an joint ( not the smoke type
) 20cm in front of the subframe on the brake line, release this.
cut/ let go of the handbrake cables
4 bolts in the upper suspension parts that hold the whole ting to the chassis, NOTE do not just let it go, support it so you dont get any dents in the fender. ( upper a-arms hit the inside of the fender)
then last the 4 subframe bolts.
tadaaa

How come the only peeps chatting on this thread are very far away?
Less chatty boys and more volunteers...

You obviously have never tried to take a B4 rear end apartWith a big enough hammer, you'll be done by lunchtime
Seriously though --->
1. Disconnect prop & probably need to get the zorst out of the way too
2. Slacken forward diff mount where it connects onto chassis
3. Remove handbrake cables and Remove flexible brake lines
4. Unbolt upper wishbone inner mounts to the top of strut/damper
5. Unbolt dampers from where they connect to lower wishbones
6. Remove the four subframe bolts with it all secured on a jack to drop all as one
Easy to say innit !!!
As lind4hl says shock/spring/upper arm has to come out in one piece, actually not that bad of a job. Its the lower arms, camber adjustment bolts, and brake lines that will drive you insane with rage!Leave a comment:
