      Left gearbox mount?
Does the manual gearbox clear the mount on the body for automatic gearbox?

I bought a used manual ECU because if you keep the automatic ECU you'll have to jumper the relay which controls the starter lockout.

He must use qauttro subframe and left quattro gearbox mount.

Auto box is secured from rear and mount is located in the cardan tunnel.

Lots of pics from auto->man swap http://www.motortuning-forum.de/boar...istungsupdate/

I received my left quattro gearbox mount today.

It prevents key removal when not in parking. Disconnect it from ingition lock and see if you can remove your key.

I looked at part numbers and wiring, cant see any difference between auto and manual ECU's.

                Jumper for manual no alarm

Relay for manual with alarm or auto gearbox.

Great! I will disconnect it tomorrow and see if I can remove key. So you think I don't have to jumper the relay that controls the starter lockout if I use my Auto ECU?

My Cabriolet thread may be helpful in some way - I did a 5 speed swap on it a few years ago:
                      http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=42943

                      As for Torque Specs:

                      Some other random torque specs:

Bonded rubber bushings to transmission 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
Bonded rubber bushings to transmission support 100 Nm (74 ft lb)
Shift rod to transmission 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
Clutch slave cylinder to transmission 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
Tie rod carrier to steering rack 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
Drive axle to drive flange 80 Nm (59 ft lb)
Front torque arm to body 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
Pressure Plate bolts 25 Nm (18 ft lb) *this is from V6 spec - I can't imagine it would be different though
                      Flywheel bolts 40 Nm (30 ft lb) plus 1/2 turn (180 ° )

                      Hope this helps!

I appreciate the information you have provided me and the prompt reply. Today I removed the lock cable and I made the reverse lights harness.
Thank you for all your help!
