I'm interested in this if you do a mini GB, if you don't mind shipping to Denmark?

TBH I was planning on finding another diff and building it up, then swapping them over :mischeif:

yes, but we need to do the trimming ourselves or take the diff out and measure it before ordering the parts. That would mean that the car should stay still for several days.

Where are we with this? I took a Impreza STI (my 2007) with approx 300 bhp today for a ride! It was much slower than mine but the handling was very nice! I could make it turn push its tail away sweetly on the "Auto" setting for the center diff and i liked it a lot! I would like to make my small truck go like this also!

btw the programming is crap as hell! If you push the pedal all they you feel the car accelerate but nothing close to smooth. I am sure it show the typical curly power-line we see in almost all subaru graphs!

AFAIK the diffs in the 01A and 01E have the same size bearings, so shouldn't be a problem for the CRB Vasilis

Keep up the good work fella

I found this that i thought some people may be intersted in:

It basically tells you a bit about how the torsen unit works and more importantly that the modification that they do is in fact just changing the position of the gears and there frictional properties, so this looks like the 100% definative proof that this is the stasis upgrade, as long as the dimentions are correct, i'm still torn as to whether or not i want to attemt this myself, no problem canging engines but i get the feeling taking apart a torsen diff may be outside my limits. you'll need ot do a full write up and let us all know how you did it.....perhaps i can find a way of convincing you to do mine lol

Also interesting to read that there is no such think at a 'static bias' like i always thought, although i never really knew how a torsen worked before reading that link...i'm guessing a static bias ould just be instantly corrected by the torsen and lead to it being on all the time and wearing out or melting lol guess they were lying about the R8s 4:1 ratio....seems its just like any other torsen only its high bias....although from the sound of it you can limit the bias on each side too......as in 1:1 normally then max of 88% to rear but cap the front at a max of 55% if that makes sence.....

    Ant

EDIT: just to cover myself this is just my interpretation on what i have just read....

Can someone please tell us how diffucult it is to remove the center diff? Can it be done with the gearbox on the car or what? must we send the diff in or can we make it our selfs?

Did we know now how many washers are needed? I am also interested.
