Helix have confirmed that their release bearing is a metal faced INA version, as linked to ebay earlier. As I've just bought INA tappets off JP, I'd have to conclude that it's a perfectly acceptable make INA is the same group as LUK etc. Just over £38, so the around the same price as the Sachs item, or £33 off ebay.Last edited by Rusty; 20 June 2013, 12:21.Cheers'en, AndyC

Helix sell INA bearings, so I think it's worth a punt over the plastic OEM Sachs item...Cheers'en, AndyC

Cant say for sure, its the same bearing in the picture that i got from 034, and the part number is correct for aby/adu. Only question is if the picture is the actual part they are selling.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

Sorry to bring this back up. My gears have become a bit difficult to engage and last time this happened Brian found a completely perished bearing. So II'm considering the metal one this time. Has anyone had the rattling noises on a single mass flywheel?

Afte chewing up a plastic faced Sachs release bearing in a few thousand miles, I replaced it with a metal faced one and if anything it made the rattle worse! It rattles between 1500-2000rpm and in neutral.sigpic
