I had to move the old girl out of the barn whilst doing some cleaning in there. Parked up just noticed how good she looked in the setting sun.

It’s a stunning car Dave, and needs to get used more. They’re long legged old girls who need to roam.Originally posted by Tractor Dave View PostI had to move the old girl out of the barn whilst doing some cleaning in there. Parked up just noticed how good she looked in the setting sun.

Haven't done much with the Nothelle this year as I've been busy with the RS2 project. However, amazingly it's due a timing belt. I ordered one from Autodoc and it arrived today. Luckily I checked the box before opening.
The seller by date is up!
It's been in stock for 5 years!

I was going through the service history for the Nothelle and found a few invoices from a chap living in Teddington, South London. Found his number and we had a long chat. He sold the car in 2005. He sent me a few pics. Lovely chap, Audi enthusiast and past forum member. From the records, looked like he owned the car for about 6 years.

I will be updating this thread again soon as she is due a timing belt change.

I’m careful when I use Autodoc. There are some decent parts to be had and their stock range is good, but you really have to keep an eye on what they send you. They have a habit of substituting your order for Stark and Ridex parts (junk) when you order a specific brand part.
I’ve had this a couple of times, called up and complained that they had sent me something I didn’t order. Salesperson started telling me about the “premium quality” of Stark and Ridex (their own budget pattern parts line) and told me substitution is in the small print and was a stock convenience feature I’d agreed to..!!!??!!!!?
It seems they actually consider this substitution legitimate business practice.
Their response to me calling it fraudulent was to “offer me the option to turn this convenience feature off on my account”, which I obviously did.
Now if I place an order, I watch them like a hawk and double confirm everything and exactly what they are going to send out on the phone if I use them…
