Nice work as always Dave, I'm interested to see how the rust converters fair as rusty discs is a bane of my life having several cars, only one can be driven at a time after all. I'm going to have to skim my RS2 discs on the lathe at work, a 5 thou pass each side should make them like new and still be well inside of spec.

You could build up the mating face's of your current locking tool with weld then file them down so it's a snug fit again, a bit of hassle but free.

I've been using one of those large knot wheels on rusty suspension parts, they're savage, one has to very careful with them!

We have a new mot.



Just before the test I had a major issue. All the indicators stopped working. Just an occasional click from the relay under the dash. I've had this before and a tap on the dash sorted it. Not this time. However, I found that pressing the hazard light switch really hard brought everything back for a few moments. Fortunately I happened to have a spare switch (as you do).


The old switch has some corrosion on one terminal inside.


Cleaned up and it will be handy as a spare.

It wasnt that warm.
As you know the external temp sensor sits just inside the engine bay and after a run it gets quite hot.

Off to a little car meet this morning. These cars and coffee meets are great for getting everyone out and meeting other enthusiasts. My car drew a lot of attention and wasn't out of place next to a nice 911.
Met two locals who both owned S2's years ago.
