Yes, on the list to do. They fell apart when I took them out. Also need one new ABS sensor as it was broken when the car was dismantled.
I'm soaking everything overnight in Bilt Hamber detox. Should be nice and clean in the morning.

Hubs almost done (front ones). Soaked overnight. Washed off then into the oven on low temp to dry off quickly, otherwise they will rust over very quickly!

Came out not too bad but I will have to clean off quickly with the wire wheel before painting.

Got all the bits for welding primed as well.

I didn't have a good day in the garage today. The welder wasn't co-operating and was either too powerful, burning holes or too weak, making splatter! Gave up in the end and started to dismantle the rear hubs instead. Two nice big parcels arrived from AutoDoc in Germany. Won't be ready to use any of it for a while though

Nothing much to report. Slow progress on the car I'm afraid. I did go on a parts sourcing trip yesterday. 400 mile round trip. Got an Avant carpet, interior trim parts and other bits and bobs from a car being broken. Unfortunately, the carpet is blue rather than the advertised black. Has anyone tried dye?

Also managed to order some rear brakes from a B6 S4. Found these on ebay too, gearbox mounts. Seem good quality.

Here nobody uses topran parts, very low quality. You may get lucky and find an other manufacter part from topran box as they are only a box maker, but usually its chinese crap.

I had the same though regarding the carpet. Mine was also blue, I though it was black until I took it out to clean.
