we will be replacing with a mobile app instead. Also the current site is designed to work with mobile. Are there particular features from tapatalk that you would like?

i hope the picture support will be awailable as via tapatalk i can put them directly from my phone and not upload anythere and copy links

Yes it was a fairly late night last night after barely stopping throughout the day... it was full on, but 5 years in the waiting so we wanted to do it as thoroughly as we could!

Our list of bits still todo is currently:

Homepage with latest posts, for sale, wanted etc
Darker colour scheme (but will still be based on one of these newer themes you can all test as the old ones are completely incompatible)
Migrate photoplog plugin from the previous forum to new user galleries
Improve search system with Sphinx
Mobile App
Mobile Ads
Update help section
Migrate help to new Articles section and flesh this out

Additional admin work behind the scenes -

More frequent offsite scheduled database backups
Additional server security enhancements
Configure new external SMTP service
Enable 2FA

If people could test out the new themes available which you can select at the bottom left of the page and provide some feedback on what you think is best that would also be great. Currently i think we like Blue Green (the current default) and Cool Blue - although we'll aim to keep as many as possible active so people can select whatever they like

Just wanted to say 'Thank you' to you both for updating the forum for us all. 16 hours is a lot of time to spend FOC doing something for others you don't really know. But great job I'm happy to have something rather than nothing. Its amazing how you soon get used to new colours and layout especially if you use other forums, I guess we are all just creatures of habit! Cheers Simon

I too prefer the darker colour schemes, makes it easier on the eyes to read.

I noticed my avatar is squished, is that a temporary thing, or do I need a new image file in the proper dimensions (120 x 120)?

Yeah some avatars are a bit squashed unfortunately and there's not much we can do ab out that, so if you could update that'd be great, thanks.

S2forum (dark) style looks better than other styles. Less stressful for the eyes. I think that the white color, should be replaced little darker white or grey. Something like window with nicks and informations on the left side

I noticed a limit of 280 characters on signatures including bb code.

Could you allow more characters?

I have updated the homepage layout to try and show recent posts and for sale threads similar to the way we had it previously. I have also updated so that on the list of search results for new posts the arrow link on the right will take you to the first new post since you last viewed the thread rather than the most recent post ever
