hopefully your new adverts will be for s2s that can make more than 1000 miles after having been bought from you.
my s2 from alltype had nothing but problems. spent over £2000 on bills trying to get it sorted. Ran out of money in the end, now I'm selling off bits and scrapping the shell! I lost thousands on it.

Well the story goes like this; the car was up for £5000. I had my arm twisted because it was a black ABY coupe which is what i wanted, so despite being really tatty and probably worth £3 - £3500, I reluctantly gave in and paid £4500. I thought if I have to spend £1500-£2000 on paintwork then atleast I'll have the car I wanted and be able to get most of the money back someday.
Now the the first mechanical failiure was the turbo. The car was using loads of oil from the day I bought it, which got worse and worse. I was using it everyday to get to work, and putting in a litre of oil every other day. I wasn't too fussed though, I knew the car would be expensive to maintain so I replaced the turbo for a new unit which was about £400, peace of mind and all that
then it lost alot of perfomance, turned out the n75 valve was cracked, it was a very old one. when looking through the receipts there was one from VRS northampton, literally 3 weeks before I bought the car for a new N75!! Anyway that was another £65
Then I got a really bad missfire, tried another set of coilpacks from a friends car, that cured it so I knew one of the coilpacks had failed. From looking at them, they where all in poor condition, the wires where cracked and damaged, 2 of the coilpacks had already been replaced and badly joined in. So I bought a set of coilpacks from apikol, the 1.8t ones, which where £300.
Then one day whilst driving my girlfriend home the car started white smoking, A LOT and there was water in the oil. Checked over all the breather system but deep down knew it was the head gasket. Took the head off, gasket had failed and the head was cracked on 3 chambers between the valves and the sparkplug threads, I did my own research into this and decided it's best not to re-fit the head when its cracked this badly. At this point I had not even done 1000 miles in the car yet!!!
So I replaced the head for a 7A one and had it skimmed and rebuilt with all my ABY bits swapped over. New multilayer head gasket and ARP head studs where used. I spent a couple of hours cleaning up the block face, did a very good job of everything. Had to replace a few other bits whilst we where doing the work (PAS pipe, crank sensors, DV, throttle body pipe, piece of water pipe, after-run pump) and I ended up spending well over a grand in parts alone.
3 weeks down the line the car started white smoking again and alot of water has mixed with oil. I can only assume the block face is warped, or the block itself has cracked.
I havn't lost my like for S2s but after this I wonder if I should get another one. I spent all my savings fixing the car and now I've got no money whatsover! I've had to work overtime every weekend for the last month, this is my first day off in nearly 30 days and I'm working tomorow (sunday).
Nice to know that the guy I bought it from is a multi-millionaire and doesn't give a ****.Comment

I thought it was the law that you have to offer some sort of warranty when selling second hand cars - seen as you are advertising as a "Dealer" as such....
Paul M
I'm surprised you didn't take the matter up with the seller before doing any work yourself... which afaik invalidates any warranty that would have been issued when you bought the car!!

So who's address is it then? Surely thats not going to look good as a seller if you are giving a false one?i never advertise the correct address on the net just like that because loads of cars used to get nicked when they where advertised esp stuff like quattros & cosworths so you can have a good giggle on the address thats advertised so if some one wanted to come & help them self to something theres fxxx all there
