no, most of these problems where existant when i bought the car, it just took a little while before they fully developed or became evident. I've not even done 1000 miles in the car since I bought it. It's spent 90% of the time I've owned it off the road being repaired by another forum member and expert s2 mechanic.
The car was not thrashed, I would only ever give it some when fully warmed up and never for prolonged periods of time. I always let it warm down before I switched it off, and I serviced it and maintained it every weekend.
I didn't ask for my money back because I wanted the car which is why I repaired it each time something went wrong. I'm not asking for my money back now either. I'm just seeing what you'd say for my own entertainment. I only hope your next customer is more dubious before handing over cash.
heads do not crack within 1000miles of puchase dear quattro, and just by statements like the above just shows how well informed you are about what is the state of the cars you sell. After reading through these things, i wouldnt dare buy anything from such a seller.

Might want to warn bram then as he was planning a trip over to view some of the quattro's soon

I Bet HMC&R (Customs & Revenue) would love to know about your underhand dealings!
Be interesting to find out what he paid for the car in the first place and whether the seller sold it with these known faults? Wouldn't surprise me, this guy obviously doesn't give a flying f*** about his reputation, his customers or the condition of the cars he's selling.
equally I dont think lee s2 has got out of order, yet
the mistake I made was putting too much trust in the seller. I didn't spend long enough looking over the mechanics of the car, I didn't get to test drive it myself, and I didn't take anyone with me who knew about S2s. I looked more at the bodywork and interior, taking for it for granted the car was mechanically sound. Considering Alltype deals with so many S2s, amongst other thing, I thought he'd know enough about them not to be selling a sh!tter.
The bodywork was poor, and the interior was worn considering it was reasonably low mileage, but in my defence, I thought with alot of TLC, it would make a nice car. If you where looking to buy a car from alltype I wouldn't say "stear clear" because the bottom line is, if you're looking for an S2, they are difficult to come by, and he has lots of them for sale.
I would say go and have a look if the car is along the lines of what you want, however, take every possible precaution, because its not like buying a reliable forum members car. Alltype won't have done any maintenance or repair beyond whats required for MOT, and even then he won't have done the work himself; hes not a mechanic. You won't be able to hear any history about the car because he won't know and he certainly doesn't use any of them enough to actually work out if they're any good. I think most of the cars are a mystery to him too really.
So you've got to work out whether its a good'un or not. Quite risky really. With hindsight I obviously wouldn't have bought my car, but I wish I had taken a knowledgeable S2 owner and mechanic with me, because I expect they would have told me to go home.
I wouldn't say I think I've been stitched up because I doubt he knew the car had any problems. If he'd used it for a little while then he would be in the same situation I'm in now, but he would still have thousands left to repair the car, whereas I've got nothing!!
The way he sells his cars is unarguably very suspicous and offputting. The adverts are always really badly worded and the pictures are usually out of focus. The only reason why people go to view his cars is because you don't have much choice, he owns so many S2s and other rare cars, you're hard pushed to buy one without looking at one of his.
If hes was selling vectras, mondeos and passats, you'd be able to avoid him!!
