i will post pics of the diet for you tomorrow.
i have taken anything that was not needed out of the car and replaced windows with polycarb ones apart from rear 1/4 small ones and screen for strength.
fuel was massive and weighed loads so binned it all the plastic inside bits inc dash and unused wiring looms were cut out. sunroof mech removed and welded up.
i put it on the corner weights with the glass in and not the polycarb windows and it weighed 1268 kg but there was no water in the engine or rad so they will probly cancell each other out. i removed the abs and used a AP brake bias lever to sort the rear brakes locking up.
the engine flywheel has been on a diet 5.8 kg it weighed .
i also moved the engine back slightly but only 20mm so not a massive amount but it all helps.
its on koni and h+r in the pics but there is no weight at the rear so its sits high at the back but i will sort this tomorrow with a coilover kit
front brakes are 323mm discs and 425/426 monblocks from a boxster s
rear brakes are s4 300mm with s4 calipers from a B7 soon to have monoblocks when i find some for less than the national debt.
downpipe and exhaust are 3inch homegrown with a rs4 b5 rear silencer to quiet it down a tad.
more pice tomorrow of inside and coilovers on i hope

Was intrested in the registration of your saloon with the DVLA,
Does it stay as a V6 80q with a engine change or is it a s2 saloon on the reg doc?
Thought it would be easier getting insurance if it was called a s2 as you would get insurance quotes based on a s2 avant with mods?

        Cheers

How did you adapt the engine mountings? Did you graft on some 5 cyl ones or make some new engine versions? Thats my next concern!! (I have donors to chop out)

I believe that the B4 4, 5 and 6 cylinders all use the same chassis engine mounts. Traverse and radiator mounting points are different.

I know about the differances the question was how did you adapt a 6 cyl to accept a 5 cylinder engine.
