Thank you very much. I'll take more once the chrome trims are banished.

                Car looks great

BTW, how you thinking of de-chroming her? I've been thinking about it but don't know what would be the best way?

I've bought the grill surround off a late one then the window surrounds by a very talented painter. Also the B and C post trims are gloss rather than satin on a late car.

I'll have to paint the lot (no late car on S4 ).

i know that you've mentioned on this forum that you have an interest in old audi brochures so i gather you have all the colour swatches for the various options available on the s6 etc?

could you have a look through them and see if you can find a colour that's borderline dark blue into purple??

Maybe the colour your thinking of is Byzanz ( LY4T ) I remember this as one of the "lifestyle" colours that were offered for a limited period of time and Audi sent out special info to the dealers stating when and on what models they were available on so the colours never appeared in the main brochures. The colours were available on cabriolets for a long while but not so much on other models.Don;t know if this helps.

                          Ahhh, i'd not spotted that.
I knew the interior door handles were black instead of chrome but wasn't aware that strip was too. I'll sort that when i do the handles

I should qualify that seeing as it a UK registered car in the picture in the wonderful lime colour. I don't remember ever seeing one or having one through our Dealership in London which at the time was probably the biggest in the UK in the 90's Only goes to prove beauty is in the eye of the beholder !
