I had noted them - no need to rush - more will come along - hopefully

I like those air intakes but the lights are confusing - the cabrio ones are not the same as RS2 or Porsche ones.

I have some answers from Bumperboer.nl:
It is a complete bumper, but they advise to use the bumper support from a cabrio for an easy install. After mounting the bumper on the car you can attach the bumper inside the wheelspace (don't know the word) by glueing some strips in place, strips are included. They say that it helps to fit for 100 % without any nasty seams and look like an original.
You will receive: 1 bumper, 2 mounting strips and the metal covers for the bumper.
They send me a picture of a (trident_rs) RS4 bumper for the B4 model, it was in development at the time but they send it for the look of a bold bumper.

The RS2 rear bumper is also a complete bumper, but you have to put in you own balk / bar (?) in it. It fits an Avant or sedan for 100%, by the coupe and probably the 90 the exhaust space doesn't completely match. You can adjust the bumper or exhaust to fit (their words). With the rear bumper are also strips delivered for a perfect look. Supplying the RS2 blende or grab aren't a problem.
All bumpers are made of a 3 layer polyester for a firm mount and clean look. When asked, they can be made of Kevlar or Carbon (I don't think for the same price )
The RS2 front bumper (DU 89L-1503) for Porsche Lights and the RS2 rearbumper (DU 89L-1502) are 100% copied of originals.
De RS2 front bumper (DU 89L-1501) is most suitable on a B3 and 90 because of the more plane / even shape of the wheelskirt of the B3. It's just a little detail which can be easily solved with some polyester.
              Delivering is possible.
Prices are Dutch tax (BTW, 19%) included and without costs of delivering. We are welcome to ask more questions if needed.

I think I have translated everything that I have written down.
So tell me if more info is needed!

Nero, Thank you VERY much for all your work on this for us :-) you've done a great job and answered a lot of questions!

I think we now need to throw some questions at each other to figure out any 'issues'.

There is one thing that may be an issue. They said to use the bumper support from a Cabrio, that's a problem. The bumper support is not available on it's own. You can only get that if you buy a whole new bumper! So I guess we can use our S2 bumper backing bar and 'make' the RS2 bumpers for onto our backing bars with some re-working being needed??? Another thing just occurred to me.... I have a nasty feeling the backing bar is extremely well fixed onto the bumper. There is a fair possibility that we make break or do some bad damage to the old S2 bumper that means that it would not be able to be used again if need be. That is only a THOUGHT!!! not 100% for sure! anyone got their bumper off right now that could confirm how the backing bar is fixed to the bumper cover??

If anyone was thinking of selling on their S2 bumper, that won't be any good now if you take the backing bar off the bumper...

I wonder if they can show us an example of the gluing on of the strip... the S2 bumper corners are a pretty tight fit on the wings and a part glued on may not take too well to being removed and re-fitted over and over. The bumper has to come off for a lot of work on the S2, so that *may* be an issue... <just thinking out loud here>

What Josh said about fibre glass mounting points breaking off easy is a concern.... not that I intend to hit anything, but I wonder how real an issue that is... how does any of these bumpers attach to the OE mounting bar?? if it's clipped on??? then clips may be a pain to repair. Infact how does this fibre glass bumper attach to the OE S2 bumper backing bar? can they advise?? do we have t 'make' it fit somehow??

Sorry, you said Polyester... my mistake, how does polyester compare to fibre glass for knocks by hitting something lightly?

The price includes Dutch tax, that is good :-)) Delivery could well be about £100-150 by freight, that would be nice to know how much they charge for delivery to the UK?

That's all I can think of right now. Anyone care to throw in some thoughts?

I like the look of that new trident thingy. Nice mixture of s2, rs2 and rs4. Don't really like the side openings in their current rs4 replica DU 89L-1501.

I don't see why couldn't the bumper be used without the backing.

This is the reply I got, from R&A design in the uk, regarding the Dietrich Bumpers:

                              Hi,

The bumpers we get are complete units and just bolt onto the original
iron/clips etc. They accept the Porsche style "round-the-corner"
indicator/fog units. So it is basically a total RS2 replica. They also do
the RS4 but that just has regular indicator holes. It's the same price
however and if you want to combine the order and have a few of each, we'll
                              do the same discount.

For one bumper you would normally pay £242.35 inc VAT (mesh comes with the
                              bumpers).

                              Discount Rate -

                              2 - 5 Units - 5% per bumper
                              6 - 10 Units - 10% per bumper
                              11+ Units - 15% per bumper

There will be a P&P rate of £18.95 per bumper. This is next day and is
                              insured.

There is also an option of having the silver alloy mesh powder coated matt
black. This is an extra £15 per bumper. There is no discount off this
                              option.

We'd need to know if they are S2's or just regular coupes because the
intercooler obstructs the regular bumper and we'd need to order them
specifically for the S2s. There's no problem there though, as long as we
                              know.

The delivery time would be around 3 weeks, as they are special order. There
are no rear bumpers as yet.

That all sounds too good to be true!
