That's the Rieger kit out the f***ing window - back to square one.

I'm not interested in the Rieger now I actually read this in the catalogue:

So the bottom line, you have to kepp your old bumper, cut it up to accept the slip over reiger one, then cut holes in the reiger to fit the rs2 grilles and drill all the mounting holes for the lights, and then make the reiger stick to whats left of you oe bumper some how.

Cool, so if you screw up one part both are @@@@@@ nice....

For some reason, the Rieger bumper does not allow the fittment of an RS2 intercooler, this would mean the remnants of the butchered original type 89 bumper does not allow sufficient room, or the Rieger item sits too far back... something to consider, but I guess Doug has made up his mind that Rieger is a definite no - no and Martyn has confirmed that...

A genuine one would be nice - although expensive - I doubt we'll get many for a group buy.

Well.. if you guys buy Rs2 bumpers....

I be tempted to buy your old S2 bumper
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

                  Hi,
I discovered a Dutch site, with a lot of bumpers, RS2 also:
                  RS2 Bumper
You have to use your original (fog)lights.
I don't know much of it but it costs 355 €, the grills are included.

Nice link Nero!! you the man!!

Can you do me a favour please..... can you find out about this:

it's part number DU89L 1501, could you ask them if the part they supply is a whole new bumper? or do we have to cut our existing bumper and make that one fit over the top of our old bumper?

                      Same for this one too:

IS it a whole new bumper? or again, does it fit over the old bumper?

PLEASE, please.... pretty please... my Dutch is not very good!!!

Nice one - who's going to ask them what it comes with, how much to ship, what it's made off?

Martyn - why do you want an RS2 bumper with the rectangular lights - they look naff :nana:

Matter of opinion Doug, I've NEVER seen that front end before, RS2 lower, but using S2 fogs and indicators, that'll help keep the cost down too!! :-))

Providing you DONT have to cut your existing bumper to fit this... I think the S2 light with the RS2 bottom end look the biz!

My opinion is, I don't mind the S2 bumper but it would look a lot better with the curvy RS2 lights.

On a similar note - do you have an old headlight? I was wondering what they would look like if they had the innards sprayed black - like the birthday golfs.

                              :-) curvy huh ;-))

I do have an old headlamp that I am playing with... you could paint the projector surround black for sure, not sure how it would look with black projector surround and 'normal' high beam reflector though... maybe time to take a head on photo of the headlamp and try it with a paint program??

I have asked the guys from www.bumperboer.nl the things you asked me, Martynf.
Cause of my nightshift, I am awake late, so I have mailed the questions to them, I hope to have answers tomorrow.
I hadn't expected your enthousiasm, nice that I can help you!
