          Timucin - They had not been replying to my emails, and I was going to call last night - but got a reply - they were meant to tell us when he shipped them:

          From: Top-End

          There is no way to track or tell how long things to take going through customs....I would expect them in a few days....I'm sure no more than 2-3 more days...

          Thanks...Steve

            Doug;
            steve is a nice guy on the phone but , shipping this way takes too much time and there is no insurance about delivery.specially turkish customs.he was supposed to send my stuff by fedex or ups, a bit expensive but no custom work and delivered to my house.
            i dunno why he did something like that.this made a bit sad yesterday but ,off course he thinks turkish post office is like american offices...i hope i can receive them but i am not sure...
            we will see...

              They tried to deliver 15 pistons to me yesterday but no one was in - I went to pick them up today but they were trying to redeliver so I only got them at 6 tonight.

              Mark - sorry I couldn't get them in the post for you to get them tomorrow.

              Sal - Do you want them sent or do you want me to bring them to Billing?

              Here are a couple of pics - they look cool with the light grey Ceramic coating on th etop, the polishid ring recesses and the dark grey moly coated skirts

                        I've ordered Arrow Rods - they could have been here today but I only paid for them 2pm yesterday. So I now have everything and if the rods appear on Monday I will be taking a holiday to take everything to the machine shop.

                        I'm hoping I will have everything back by next weekend.

                        Steve - Can I use graphogen grease everywhere apart from the rings/bores - Do I have to keep it away from the hydraulic tappets? I probably have a few more questions coming soon!

                            I just had a heart attack - measured the diameter as 80.708 - the standard size!!

                            You are meant to measure the skirt not hte top - it's 81.458 - designed for a 81.50 hone.

                            I don't like the instructions to file the rings to size - maybe get the machine shop to do that for me.

                              Doug, The Graphogen instructions say it's Ok for bores, however, the engineering company I used advised me to just keep it off the bores. That was only mentioned to allow the bores to bed in. Don't forget to use a non synthetic oil for the bedding in process, this will help to ensure you don't suffer with bore glazing. I know peeps will have differing views on bedding in, so ask around and make your choice based on what you hear. It fine to use everywhere else.

                                IIRC, it should be 20mm up from the base of the skirt at 90 degrees to the wrist pin.
