I'd be interested - i know mine is ******ed but seemingly better when i had a weeping diff oil seal replaced a couple of months ago.

Count me in - whats £20 odd quid in the scheme of things.. :eek2:

Doesn't actually seem I'll need one yet, but the mod is worth the money.
Count me as well in a group buy.

Actually got round to fitting this mount today, was easier than i thought, original one was completely shot, its needed the wheel alignment sorting out for a while now as it bangs about a bit over bumpy surfaces, but the new mount has made a big improvement, feels like 50% of the play has gone, definately a top mod....cheers mark

I don't know if there is a price differential between the Powerflex bush for the Mk1 Golf GTI and the one you purchased , Mark. The reason I mention this is because the o/s engine mount uses the same bush as the Coupe q / S2 rear mount. It even has the same VAG part number, with the same offset bolt hole. I bought one from my local dealer (Lindvale VW) and it worked out £16 inc. VAT. Useful for those who want to keep the original bush.

                Siena,

I had a look, and Powerflex don't list a bush for the O/S engine mount on the Golf MK1.
Your right though, if someone wanted to keep the original bush that is a lot cheaper than the forty odd quid Audi one.

                Mark.

I saw a 3b in Eastbourne, today having some work done in a fast fit garage of all places went in for a look and the mechanic said it had been run into the ground, needing 700 quid of bushes to pass the MOT! plus loads of other stuff to the brakes etc.Was it anyones on here?

You guys who have ordered this bushing from powerflex!
Mine is totally gone, and next weekend is track day on ice!
I called the norwegian distributor today, and he told med that it was 4 weeks delivery time!!!
                      4 weeks that's insane!
                      You guys waited this long?

I took my brother out for a spin in my S2 this weekend (he owns an S4) and he really noticed a shunt from the transmisison. Thudding on big gear changes, but there's also an off-throttle jerk too - oh and the gearstick moves a bit.

I definitely need this new Powerflex bush mod thingie.

Where can I get it from? Is there still a group buy discount?

I don't think I can fit this myself, don't have a ramp - how long should a competent mechanic take to do it? Does the kit come with instructions?

My transmission has a lot of driveline shunt, I noticed it also when I went out for a test run with Newsh. I wonder how much is normal. my 4x4 mondy has shunt as well.

Dan, There is also a strange jerk behind the steering wheel on my cars as well!

I went out for a spin in his modded S4, now that is a nice car, chipped V6 twin turbo, it doth shift

It seems like lots of people have done this Powerflex mod - how much improvement does it give? I suppose i could just get the standard one, but seeing as it needs replacing, what's the point of not upgrading eh?
