Got a happy mail today. The bushes is now machined and fitted to the wishbone I had a little trouble with (scroll up to read more). They are finally on, and the wheels are on too, so now it can roll all by itself. Finally. But there is much more left to before finished..

A little unsure what to do with the center of the wheels. Leave it like now or make them Gold (as in magnesium gold) or anthracite (not so dark as the old avus' was..).
Any suggestions?

Im usually up for just going my own way, but now that I got the wheels, they do look very good in ordinary silver, and I might think they will also very look good with mattgold and/or not-fully-so-darkgray-as-my-last-set-of-wheels, so the choice now is just selecting the colour for the center, but it have some criterias; not to chav, not to ordinary, a little racing inspired, but yet subtle, not white and not black. I know I cant have them all, and I've kinda drooled after gold bbs from the start but starting to think of it all it makes me more and more unsure of what to do.

well....I took some pictures of my "newly" re-furb'd wheels but the camera hasn't donw them justice...but I'll try and post a pic just for you....they are a metallic grey, very dark out of the sun but what a transformation in the sun....

as your car was the inspiration, what do you think??...

Pos 1. Pos 2 is too close to the turboinlethoseclamp and will only be in the way for me on my setup.
It could have been more goods to drill in the pos 1 though (pref. equal to pos 2.).

Tom_: Thanks! Im counting (hoping!!) to make a roadtrip next summer down into europe, so maybe link up can be arranged, then you might get to see it. Also the car is ar my dads firm/garage, and I do not work there. Maybe later on if I move back home..

You've got to go with gold on the dark blue I need to replace all my bushes early next year, wish my reear diff looked like that

I've always thought of having them in gold. But now, I see them rolling on plenty of cars just around here in norway, so maybe painting the center in 2 nyances darker than the usual alu look, more of a matte-magnesium-grey-look could be cool and not so sticking out also. And best of all, only seen a few ruf porkers running them in that grey around here.

But I have to admit that they do rock with gold too.

Plating I think will be difficult since the center cant be splitted, since one have to dip the piece in a tub with the stuff. But would have been cool
