Without looking I would guess standard suspension.
My car is fairly basic I believe; other than sunroof, pearl paint and carbon trim. It doesn't have aircon or leather.
I will definitely get some Bilstein shocks, they will be infinitely better than 22 year old dampers!

Check front springs and see if you have sports suspension ( two silver + one violet dot) (or check sticker in the boot for 1BE) as that is your best bet for good ride quality and stability. I have it and really don't think it's too soft, well, it's not racing car, but it's stiff enough for a road car

The way the car dives under braking and rolls through the corners, I suspect standard suspension... There is nothing sporty about it
Is there a thread on how to swap the shocks? Looking at the front setup, that 'should' be easy.
Is there any information on spring rates between standard and sport?

Nothing to report: Family away for the weekend, got up early and rolled the old girl out for a drive. First time out in two weeks, started first turn and into a lovely idle with the unmistakable sound of a blowing exhaust , can't believe I almost took up an offer to sell it. Perhaps the sleeper-ish-ness image is going to fall to bits when I find a nice fruity exhaust.
Spending the afternoon cleaning it up and poking round the engine (proper man stuff).
Needs more power though

After spending the weekend enjoying Irish roads in all manner of lovely automobiles, I have decided to return to my first proper love... The Elise/Exige.
I could use my URS4 everyday, but I do 20k per year and would probably prefer my newer A4 diesel for that commute.
The URS4 will be up for sale at the weekend, it has everything going for it; and is mechanically sound, it just needs the exhaust sorting. It has taken me to the highlands and down to London and Oxford several times, it has never let me down.
No rush to sell.
Basics:
134k
Should sail through next MOT (lots of preventative maintainance in my ownership -using Daves helpful guide)
Cambelt, water pump Jan 2015
New tyres Jan 15
Perfect RS2 turbo fitted (no play at all) Aug 2015
New 440cc green Giants August 2015
New 'Wagner evo manifold 'from Jonas
New gaskets, and fuel pump (walbro 255)
PRJ remap (350-370 bhp)
Plenty of preventative maintenance work done (all done by local specialists) which I would rather not add up
Everything works as it should and I have lots of spare parts... More than a boot full
I won't be able to make this car a replacement for a lotus, so it'll be cheaper to just sell and buy one.
Px. Exige S2 or anything with a K20 conversion (s1/s2).
