I'm assembling the head at the moment. Bottom's almost fully ready, only the catch can installation and hose routing left. Having trouble putting back the damn front ARB, can't seem to be able to do it alone.

Valves are back in the head. 45 degree back-cuts on valves and seats. I'll finish the assembly with lifters and cams in the engine bay.









Flywheel got a new needle bearing called Sachs.

I just bought FEBI for a tenner.

Was contemplating it, but our local guys say that Febi chains tend to stretch in the first 3k km. A lottery with alternative parts, as usual.

Okay then. Never heard of a cracked steering rack. Only cracked steering rack mounts.

Cracked mounting points are unfortunately a common sickness in the C4 chassis. :/
