I found 44psi was too hard for my 255/40/17 on plus spec rims on my UrS6.
30psi is better for the poorly repaired road surfaces and speed ramps over here.
Your roads may be better.
As you were.
Our roads are just as bad as yours and mine isn't a daily, i just love the directness sharp steering and handling you get with 44psi it certainly makes a standard S2 feel soft by comparison.
That's one of the reasons i love our A2 1.4 sport it feels very much like my S6...... tight.

You can't do anything on here without people stalking you when you least expect it..................
You're right, we need to get your thread back on topic.
What's next to do on the car ? It was good to start with, can't be much left to do now ?
Yes it was a very good car to start with but as ever when you wash it you see all the imperfections and it was time to sort them out. Erm whats left?
1. Full rebuild of the suspension to include rebuilding the donor rear suspension / diff out of the 46k mile 2.8 quattro and it's fuel tank for a quick easy swap. It's all exactly the same at the rear.
2. Getting round to fitting the new head and volvo turbo conversion. In other words plenty to do.

I presume you will, but keep all of the old parts taken off the car as you never when you'll be glad of them regardless of their condition.
Everything for our S cars is getting rarer - no longer B4 and C4 cars of any spec in breakers yards. While it couldn't last forever, it is a pain when the evil day(s) arrive to stay.
Hoarding can be handy, although my wife is not of sure of this principle as me.
I forgot to mention there's this little interlude thats getting in the way of things atm and very shortly to be of the drive to get the A2 on it for it's transplant.
This is how good the Donor car is thats providing a lot of nice things for the S6's. To give a flavour of mechanical condition here's it's 2.8 46K (genuine) 30v ACK engine i had a look at today.
