Its not pretty. no 3 piston decided to detonate
Im going to pick up a block from sal asap so i should be back up and running soon.
I think there was a short in the +12v to no1 coil making it fail under load, causing the lambda's to read rich when the others were dangerously lean.
Apparently its not uncommon for a coilpack failure to destroy an engine.Leave a comment:

Shame about the manifold, the design was similar to the old Hacke manifolds which had the same problem.
New one looks very strudy, you don't mess about! nice oneLeave a comment:

I thought thats who you would be using for the rolling road. I had mine on there rolling road at the start of the year and they were saying about your previous mk2. So i told them wait till you see what you were building now!Leave a comment:

6mm back plate, everything else 2.5mm but the design was flawed before i started it needed to be conical.Leave a comment:

Sorry to hear about the damage fella. Looks like its all sorted out for the better now though!
Hope the mapping goes well, cant wait to see what power it makes. Who is mapping it out of interest?Leave a comment:

Ok dont rub it in
The welds did hold but the backfire was enought to bend a thick throttle plate
also pushed the fuel rail into the bonnet and bent the both
Forgot to add, i put it on the weigh bridge at work and it came in at 1140kg with about 15l of petrol
