The old IM just went like a balloon, not very impressive just round, it also bent the throttle plate which i had to straighten out as well as blowing off all silicon hoses attached to the manifold. As i said it ws a big backfire

Im also having problems with cooling, the naca duct just are not enough to cool the engine, it runs about 95-100.

I think the power is well over 300hp running 14 psi, but the ignition advance is very safe until i get it set up. Looking at the 35R copressor map i can run about 2.2 bar with no pressure drop across the charge cooler so maybe a bit less.

    Thanks guys,

I was sorting out the fuel the other day and running the engine in too, i was running about 14 psi of boost and had an unbeleivable back fire which turned the IM into a balloon, so this gave me a chance to make one that fits under the bonnet, i took the ABY IM and cut in two, cut out the service ports and mounted my TB and the extra injectors in it.

Also the cars going for mapping on tuesday so i should have some idea of power output

I know it might sound repetitious at this stage, but well done that man.

Hope to see it at a Show in the future and looking forward to seeing any vids of it at say GTI or whenever it's ready.

Best wishes with it, it is a great idea brought to life.

Yeah, i was priming the charge cooler, i have to remove it and turn it on its side to pour water into the end fitting and make sure there`s no trapped air, PITA

Short Vid of the engine running

I took it to my mates work in middlesbrough to make the exhaust and i cannot belive how sweet the engine sounds and its not too loud with a 3.5" system and two small jetex boxes.
