I could not find a bracket for the power steering reservoir, so I made my own. I have new lines coming and then that will be done.

Ordered the correct length wheel studs and bleed the brakes/clutch. The car is back sitting on all fours after quite a long time. I adjusted the ride height and will tinker with it more and there will be a bit of fender trimming to fit the wider tires, but that's good by me because I really like the look with the wheel flares.

I am using a fly by wire throttle body, so needed a accelerator pedal to match. SRS Motorsports sourced the accelerator pedal and included the wire connector for both the throttle body and pedal. I had to cut out the stock pedal mount and weld in a new base plate for the new pedal. I also cut up both the stock pedal and the new one to make a pedal that fits with the brake pedal.

Received my custom harness from my friend at SRS Motorsports. I cant say enough what a pleasure it has been to work with Norbert, he has gone way beyond just building a gorgeous harness.
I started the harness install and everything fits perfect. The wiring is a bit overwhelming for me, marrying the Motec ECU engine management with the harness out of a Coupe GT, which has the better (blade) fuse box. The plan is to use the digital dash as well. I am way out of my comfort zone, but feel comfortable with the help of Norbert and others that it will all work out.

I didn't mean that. I meant if you drive through deep water it will suck water up into your engine and kill it. We get those sorts of floods all the time here.Leave a comment:

The pre-filter cover made by outerwears is treated with an hydrophobic water-repellent and has a proprietary polyester mesh with uniform micron openings. I have been using the pre-filters for years on our sand car intakes that are exposed to the elements with zero issues. I plan on driving the car in any weather conditions....

That looks fabulous but with all the rain we get in the UK the filter location would give me sleepless nights

Came back from trip to some parts.
Made up oil cooler lines and mounted air cleaner.
I used a 90 degree special designed intake hose from A&A Corvette that is used as part of the Vortex Supercharger kit. The elbow allows for a perfect fit to the turbo and the K&N air filter is in a great location. The filter will get the outerwears pre-filter.

Nice project, lot's of attention to detail and a bit different which I'm always a fan of.
That 1980 UR is splendid, must be one of the very first production run or at least close, as you say not what one expect in Japan.

Made up fittings and hoses for the oil feed and return line for the turbo. Also, made mount for oil cooler, just waiting on some fittings to make up the -10 lines.Attached Files- IMG_4265.jpeg (3.00 MB, 254 views)
