Installed the Turbo vacuum system. Varia, sent me info on a nice alternative to the standard silicone vacuum hose.
Straightboost Performance makes a kit with threaded swivel SBP push to connect fittings and SBP 1/4" hose.
Everything went together great and I added a heat sleeve.....one more item done!Last edited by Blagave; 12 August 2024, 14:04.Leave a comment:

I had new power steering lines made up and installed them. Since, the system is not what came in the UR and the radiator is bigger, their isn't a lot of room left between engine and radiator, but all fits nicely. I made a mount to support the hydraulic line and used a a few threaded holes on the trans for a sensor that is not being used to attach bracket.

No alignment has been done on the car, still a ways off for that. Camber can be adjusted by struts, lower arms adjustment and the spindle ball joints. I found alignment specs and will provide to shop who did the alignment on my LanicaLeave a comment:

Wow, that ecu is tiny!
Are you going to leave the top mounts set in that position? Maximium positive camber setting?Leave a comment:

Made a aluminum mount for the Motec ECU and attached to lower passenger door hinge pillar. SRS harness fits perfect.
SRS and Vara have been helping me quite a bit with figuring out the wiring. I am using the Coupe GT harness with fuse box and digital dash. We need to marry the new SRS engine harness with components that need to be read by both the Motec and the digital dash.....needless to say, I am way out of my comfort zone, but getting expert help, so its one wire at a time.Leave a comment:

Wasn't able to use the radiator top cover, so made one out of aluminum and carried through to the other side. Welded on zeus tabs so the cover comes off easy, also added extra support to the under side of the removable top cross member. Haven't decide if I like the rubber edge I added to the aluminum.
I still need to make something for underside of radiator as well.

Front sway bar finally done. I had some issues trying to fit the 26mm S2 front sway bar. The sway bar just didnt fit properly and hit the billet A-arms and brake line mounts. I thought about getting the tubular A-arms from Verkline and could relocate the brake lines, but decided to l adapt a 1 1/4" hollow tube chromoly steel sway bar and was able to use stock pickup points both on the Verkline sub frame and the A-arms. I just made my own adjustable links and aluminum spacers. I am very happy with the fitment and will do the same for the rear.

When the roll cage was built, there was a bit of rear shelf sheet metal cut out in order to weld the cage to the shock towers. The area that needed to be filled in, also access the top of the shocks and rear seat belts. I made pieces to fill in the gaps and pop riveted them in and used seam sealer. The top pieces are zeus fastened, so they can be removed to access shocks. I wrapped top and bottom with hush mat and will also use a strip of foam to make a good seal.
I worked on the hush mat install, I am very close to being done. What a difference the hush mat makes in deadening sound and stiffening the thin metal. Its a lot of work, but the car should be quite and no rattles when finished.

Finished up the S.S. 3" exhaust system, which was a lot of added work to get up and over the rear CV due to the Verkline Sub frame. About the only nice thing on the car was the exhaust system when I purchased it and sadly had to be all cut up and redone accept for the front straight section. Another task checked of the list of many.

Another bracket made, this time the oil dip stick needed something to mount too. My dip stick had the plastic pull broken off and so I attached a knob I had, which worked out.
