the rs2 fan (500 watts) is 8000 CFM.Varia.....its a 16" fan with 2024 cfm, I think I am fine for my application, used same fan on Porsche 928 LS3 Super charged making 650 at the wheels and a few other high hp motors, its not my first rodeo, but truly appreciate your incite and hope I am not wrong on this buildsigpicComment

I repaired some rust issues on the passenger side rear wheel area and the passenger rear trunk bubble and wheels well. I think this is the last of the major rust repairs, but wont know until the paint is stripped if there is anything else to fix

Made a make shift pressure washing booth to clean engine bay and underside. Worked great, but not a fun jobComment

Started sunroof delete. I used the stock sunroof as a template and added tape to make the exact pattern. I spent almost 2 hours tack welding and using shop air to cool between tachs and still got som shrinkage and minimal warp. I have to give the pros credit on how they do this and it turns out perfect. In the end, the body/paint guy will have a little extra work to make perfect.

Got my Porsche 996 calipers back from powder paint and rebuilt with new seals and pistons. AndyP here in the forum is making front and rear mounts along with parking brake mounts, which is very much appreciated, since the mounts are not available.Comment

Good work on the sunroof, it's really tricky welding in a new panel without distorting the roof, the trick is keep the welds short, no more than an inch and pulse weld, let them cool and work in a criss cross pattern, even then it's unpredictable.
I'm quite tempted to do away with sunroof fitted to my B3 80 project as I seem to recall the whole assembly is over 15kg's, though I don't want to do anything ireversable so would probably simply make a thin alloy pannel to stick over the opening.
That 928 conversion looks pretty crazy, is that a Hemmi or LS engine? I'm not too clued up on US engines.1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.

LS3 E-Rod with Vortex Supercharger married to a 6 speed Z06......Too much hp for the size tire that could be fitted without flaring.....car would go side ways at 50 just accelerating hard. Sold to a guy who had quite a few other LS swaps in his garage.Comment

The things you do to get your engine built by the best. After fully dissembling the engine and then taking the block, head, oil pan a few other pieces to be fully cleaned and broken down. I reassembled the motor and built a metal cradle for the engine to sit in and then built a over kill box for everything to be shipped in. I am exhausted, but happy to finally get the motor sent off.

After finishing the rust repair, I wired brushed any areas where the undercoating was nicked and used a sealer/undercoating to patch the areas and then sprayed the entire bottom with a undercoating.
