I picked up a nice set of B2 aux gauges. Might fit them in the radio slot and move that to the glove box. Anyone btdt? Suggestions welcome.

Yep, the rally car’s got B3/4 aux gauges in the stereo slot and the diff lock panel below. It’s a simple rewire job and reversible.

It is a B4 holder very slightly trimmed down with a dremmel.

It was definitely not B2. Either B3 or B4. I think the bezel might be mounted upside down as well.

I happen to have a b3 and b4 surround (as you do).

I tested the gauges and they are good. The wiring is quite straightforward.


The b4 surround I have is rather big. I can't seem to find the b3 one atm.

Made a start. Pulled the passenger seat to give more access.



I was a bit worried as to what I might find under the seat as my last Ur was a nightmare and the seat support had to be replaced. What a shock! No rust at all!


I need to lift the carpet to move the wire's slightly.

I was lucky to find an old seat to use as a fabric donor.

I've removed the top cover and washed it. The seat guy will use it to repair my drivers base bolster.
I popped it in the washing machine and it came out well.

The seat is strange. Different design slightly and has rake adjustment? Maybe early Coupe?

However, the aux gauge fitment isn't quite going to plan.
I've trimmed the B4 holder down but it's not a good fit. The actual gauges are catching at the bottom.





I don't really want to trim the actual consul.
A bit more access.


I might fit them were they were designed to go and move the diff lock button. Never use it anyway.
Ponder.
