Nice work as always Dave. One question if you don't mind? What adhesive are you planning to use when gluing back the headliner? I have to take mine to the upholsterer shortly, and I've been thinking what would be the best option for gluing it back to the roof.

I'm using a high temp spray adhesive. You dont need much as the liner is held in place mainly by the sunroof and side trims. I will post pics when i get to that stage

It really is horrible stuff.
Now, people have said the foam breaking down in a water based. I have tried every water based detergent under the sink and nothing melted it.
This is what I found works well.



But it also melts gloves.


At last, it's all clean and ready for its trip to the trimmers.

Jeeze Dave, this is nothing short of miracle work! Great hands indeed.

After two coats of epoxy it got two coats of satin black.



Then I ordered some 2mm neoprene tape.


And some tiger seal in the screw holes.


And red rubber grease in the track. White grease on the cord.



All back together. Everything went well but this little clip broke. Anyone have one?

The car needs a little paint here and there. Nothing major. Before I get that done I wanted to remove a few parking dents. This guy did an amazing job.


He is based near Haverfordwest if anyone wants his number. Highly recommended.

I did contact them and they said they don't do that part. My boy is going to print me some.

Now, it's been a while since I updated as the guy doing my headliner has had it for four weeks!
Today it was finally ready.


So I wasted no time getting it fitted.
I'm using this adhesive.


The foam covering the wire connectors was disintegrating so I made some new ones.




Everything went to plan. Just a few trims to finish off tomorrow.

All back together. Getting this trim in without breaking anything is always a challenge. It's a sort of chicken and egg thing as each trim wants to be fitted first.


My boy printed me some new sunroof clips and they are working well. Let me know if you need any as he printed a few extra.


Off to a Classic car show tomorrow.
