Future components one piece bent?
Good work mate! Opens up the doors to the B7 RS4 boxes for sure!
btw 2 on ebay.co.uk for under 400 GBP!
Hey Issam, Yes I would get it laser cut & bent for sure, in fact I have redrawn it as a sheet part. Needed more corner clearance for the hall sensor so I have also changed the trigger wheel on the spacer and offset it slightly to accommodate the single piece sensor bracket. Also saved some more weight

Good stuff! Group Buy? I would be down for a kit complete. Keeps the origin of the product with the creator (you) and keeps people from trying to knock it off , unless you are into the Tesla mentality

I just did clicked over 300 miles last night on the way back from Brum, so I did the 4th and final oil change on mineral oil. I'm going to try and do another 200-300 miles this coming week so I can get onto fully synth for the drive down to ADI. The dino oil is scarily thin at temperature, I drop it out at about 80 degrees and it's like water.
Just this irritating idle/stalling issue to sort now. Fingers crossed I don't have to try and find a new MAF

Urgghh, hope it is not the MAF. Hard to source unless your second job is Bank Robber. Not had time to read back on what has been happening recently but assume you have tried different ISV's. Years back with an old CQ, mine was dying at junctions, so I bit the bullet and asked Mr Mechanic to get a new Bosch component but after fitting, it was doing the same. He had already cleared out loads of carbon build up etc and faffed around with the throttle body/valve etc. Anyhow, cut a long story short, the new bosch component was sent back and found to be faulty, another new one sent and it cured the issue. With other cars of similar age, a bloody good clean normally removes all oil, grit etc and allows them to flow properly but if the solenoid is jacked, you need a new one.
Maybe a sketchy signal from the ECU? Is that what controls the ISV?
I've got a brand new Bosch ISV so I hope it is working correctly. If my 2 bad MFTS units are anything to go by maybe not.
In fact the only two sensor on the engine that are not new are the MAF and TPS.
Going to have a good look at the measuring blocks later as I didn't get time yesterday

An Italian tune-up seems to have cured the stalling issue to an extent. Maybe the new lambda needed some proper heat in it, or maybe the plugs were a bit fouled. Who knows, but I've done 50 miles tonight and not stalled once at junctions.
Been taking the revs higher, up to about 5.5k and 2/3 throttle. It sounds quite naughty, pops & crackles a plenty
I've got a new MAF on order, wasn't cheap but hopefully will smooth out the idle & running. Almost done 400 miles now and looking forward to getting onto fully synthetic this week for the drive down to ADI with more boost

Cheers Gaz, thanks for the offer mate. Actually I have a new one on the way from Audi Tradition. Wasn't cheap but new ones are pretty thin on the ground now and at least I should be able to rely on it for a bit. I also have a new Bosch FPR on the way from Germany as I don't trust the supposed low mileage one I bought to replace the leaky one I had problems with.

How did you determine the length, whats the measurement when fitting a propshaft. Did you just offer it up, and see that it needed a certain amount off?
