    Hi Tom,

I'd like yo ask you a quick question.
Where did you feed the battery + cable from? I have already seen a photo that uses this demarcated hole (stole your pic) however on my car that hole is tapped and nothing comes out of there.

Before I tear the carpet apart to find out would you mind letting me know?

    Great progress by the way

I will have a look this evening when I get home. If my memory serves me correctly, the one circled is where mine runs through.

        That is a pro-con 10 hole.

It should come out further down the leg underneath. It goes from the passenger side (lhd drivers) over the rear suspension then down across the rear seat bench and down uk drivers side and up underneath uk drivers accelerator pedal and into a hole taking it into the uk drivers chassis leg and it exits just forward the enging mount bracket on the underneath of the chassis leg.

That sounds right about the procon ten. It would be nice to see the LHD cars configuration. Thanks Tom

          Will be waiting!

On the avant though it goes on top of the seat bench then up the backrest on the left side to reach the battery on the back left arch.

Correct, I was looking at this just last week on Benntenn's ABY

There is this hole under the large one where the A/C hoses go. Do you mean that one as I cannot see any other holes than those on the photo

As I tried to explain before, it runs inside the chassis leg (the thing I called beam) and comes out in the engine bay near the starter motor.

Yup. It runs down the right hand side of the car inside the cabin, then right where the throttlw pedal is on the RHD it goes through a grommet into the chassis leg and runs inside that, coming out of another grommet in the underside of the chassis leg next to the AC drier

Goes all the way that front then? Hmmm. Will need a hanger to fish it out and put the new one in

Easy just tie a piece of string to the old one and pull it through into the cabin, then vice versa with the new cable

Anyhow enough spam on Tom's thread

When's your barbecue Tom? We are all dying to see that beautiful engine and gearbox installed in the car!

                          Snapped a couple of pictures......

The battery lead routes though the firewall though the hole as seen in the picture below. This hole cannot be seen from the engine side due to the fact that it opens into the chassis rail, which is where the cable runs.

The cable is routed through the rail and exits here.....just under the inlet of the airbox

That's perfect Tom. Really appreciate it. That will help me get the feed in and out. Hopefully the grommets may also be there from the new battery cable.

Thanks Tom! I have been wondering how this cable has been routed for some time now.

Any time Pap. My cable came with the grommets in place. Thanks goodness for that.....things like that help me determine the routing of things.

I have a favor to ask of you. Can you please take a few pictures of the wiring on inside of the car at the firewall once you pull the carpet away? I want to make sure that my wiring is correct before the heater box goes in the car.
