I'll check with karl and see what lines he's running keeping in mind the tank is next to the engine.
As for breather system dependant on whether it is a 3 or 4 stage pump. If 3 then the rocker cover and block want to vent to atmosphere. If a 4 stg pump then you can seal the system to create a vacuum in the crankcase.
fit a 3stg pump to a sealed system and crankcase pressure will build up so high at idle the turbo can't drain its oil properly resulting in damage to the turbo oil seals.Leave a comment:

I am sealed, and then the tank in the rear has two -12 feeds that go and vent in the rear wheel arch with some K&N filtersLeave a comment:

RS200's were the same iirc except they scavenge off the turbo as well I believe.
Interesting thing about dry sumps is the engine breather setup, some claim its best to seal the engine, others don't. Mine breathes off the cam cover to the tank and then out of the dry sump tank into another catch tank housed in the wheelarch, I notice from just looking for the RS200 pics that they were done the same.
How did you plan to do the breather on this engine ? and James how have you done yours ?Leave a comment:

I will give the -12 a go then and see how it goes, I am not using as many scavanges as some people are.
The turbo is fed from where the oil filter housing used to be.Leave a comment:

Yeah MSA is fine with oil, fuel and water through the cockpit.
-16 will help with any air, but like James says hes using -12 and i know the Roger clarke car is on -12 as i had a good look aroundLeave a comment:

Interesting stuff this. Our msa says its fine for fuel lines in the car for now. They are PFTE lined so no horrible fuel vapour will get into the cabin.
I will have to think about the oil lines now, interesting to hear some are using -16 some -12.Leave a comment:

FIA is not allowing fuel lines to go in the cabin, also like water lines. and this makes sence, because oil temp there will be ~110-130C ... so it is not safe for the driver. If putting oil tank to the trunk is is better to do with an16Leave a comment:

Plenty of movement in them mate. I think he meant too small diameter. What size are you running James?Leave a comment:

I think Repo ment to small as you need slack in the lines. You should not have them tight like thatLeave a comment:

Yes I am going to be running the bias on both. I dont have much faith in the compbrake pedal box though hence I added the inline one.
The oil lines to and from the tank are -12. I had considered -16 for the return but I am going to see how it goes first. I cant see any reason for running a feed line from the tank any bigger than -12?Leave a comment:
