From where did you buy the studs and nuts? How much is a set? Thanks.

3 Motec pressure sensors, they were hard to pay for, expensive little ******s. Oil pressure, fuel pressure and map sensor.

I wont have any problem getting it dirty dont worry about that! I know how to properly use and abuse a car!

+1 & I dread to think how much money you've thrown at this project....

    Just an Epic Thread...

Just wish I had the money & skill to do something like it!!

Got most of the last bits and bobs tied up in the boot. Started by making a couple of alloy brackets to hold the header and catch tanks:

That meant the tanks could be bolted in and plumbed up:

    Fuel system all finished up:

Cut a hole in the boot floor for the oil tank:

One on the otherside for the fuel tank vent:

How it looks now. You can see the fuel tank vent running across under the firewall:

Also had a few parts turn up. Bosch 1100cc injectors, RS4 coils, Bosch spark plugs, and a load of sensors:

So I am now back to working on the engine untill its up and running. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long now!

Thought it was about time for a litte more on the car. Havent done much to it lately, as I have been working on other cars.

My wheel studs and nuts turned up from America huge thanks to Aaron (speeding-g60) for posting them over to me. Nice and long so I can use spacers if needed, also got 2 sets of nuts one taper seat the other ball seat.

Tightened in with a bit of loctite

I then decided to tighten up everything underneath and get it sitting back down on its wheels. I am going to put it on some skates so it can be pushed around to give some more room for finishing it off. I also got the front towing strap fitted and the front bars painted.

Yes I know it sits lower at the back than the front, thats to be sorted. I have now got the boot to sort, mount the tanks, and finish the plumbing. Then I am moving back onto the engine untill its up and running.

I have a load of stuff on order to get it running. Motec M84 ECU, 1100cc Bosch injectors, RS4 coils, lots of sensors, and an engine wiring loom. Most of it will be here this coming week so its shouldn't be too far away from firing up now!

Wow, I'm speechless. Great project, ultimate skills. I wish I had a mechanic who would be so pedantic about everything.

What is the bore of the pistons you used?

BTW. The welds are one of the best I saw in my engineering carrier

thats how we do it at your local wrc team ; )

probably half way between front and the bend on your car or lower to miss bumper
You wouldn't happen to know donkey punch then do you?
