great interccoler upgrade you have in your "big" hands Bram
aniway if you go for the reverse IM from Carsten this intercooler it´s useless true??
That's correct. A reverse inlet IM can always be done in a later stage and I can sell this Wagner IC any time if needed. For my turbo setup I think this is perfect now.
Like Jamo, an a few others, I am becoming a real Wagner-fan now with the Wagner EM and IC onboard. It's really great quality.
It depens what kind of cruise controle your car uses. I have a aftermarket cruise controle from VDO. It uses the original audi cruisecontrole switch at the steringwheel. You can see de cruisecontrole unit in the picture behind the engine. The cable that pulls the throttle lies against de original throttlecabel and is connected at the end.
Yes, it's on the car! It fits like a glove and I had no interference issues with it like some others seem te have. I have a DM flywheel installed, so my engine is 1 cm further to the front as 3B owners normally have. The space between IC and front pulley is a little bit less then 1 cm, but enough to have some margin in case of engine movement.
I did not have a chance to test the new setup, but will get back to you with my first impressions later this week
Thanks Carsten for this nice product! You really make good Audi S2 components that make sense and are little hassle to install
that looks well close to the ground there. do you not have speed bumps in holland?
O yes, too many speedbumps in NL! That's why I take them sloooooooowly. My Avant is lowered with H&R springs for many years, so I have learned how to drive it around in normal traffic
But I think the pictures are deceiving, because actually the IC height is no issue. My 3" exhaust hit speedbumps first But also this has been optimized last year, so speedbumps are not really an issue anymore

have you put the bumper back on yet ?
I had to remove some plastic from the back .
If you had no probs can you post a pic from the bottom through the grill close up on the right as i would like to see how it fits on yours .

I did not have to remove any plastic from the bumper. Only some modifications to be made to the oil cooler duct, since the new bracket for the IC stands out a bit more to the outside and interfered with the duct. Nothing problematic though.
I will make a picture of it later today how it looks like with the bumper fitted.

Here are some pictures of the fitter bumper in front of the Wagner Evo IC. Jo, you are aware you can adjust the bumper position on your S2 right?

Interesting, this supports my idea that i got one that was welded slightly wrong with respect to the left hand end tank, ether that or the casting was out a bit.
By they way i am aware that the bumper is adjustable and it is adjusted to the max in forward movement away from the intercooler.
If you could post a pic of the left hand side as you look at it without the grill in place that would be good. You can see from my pics what i had to do to the grill clip.
