Using a MAC wgfv, have tried 2 different ones but should try a stock one after Newsh's comments.

I wonder if that could be a leak somewhere.

Have you tried spraying down the injector seals with soapy water?
Also, could you actually post your Group 0 log? I'll decide if it's perfect or not
Can't remember if we did this at Ross's, but i've certainly not tried it since. Would you lose .5 bar from injector seals?

I compared group 0 values from those on s2central.net, but will post logs when ive recorded them tomorrow, both idle and 3rd/4th pulls.

Just give me concrete numbers, so I can diagnose.
      Will wait for tomorrow.

Plucking at straws, when you fitted the turbo did you "clock" the cold side? Ie back off the bolts and turn the scroll round to line it up at the angle you needed? If you did you could have torn or unseated the o-ring there, could be a possible leak there.

Had to take the s2 into work today - the clio is dead.

Another oddity that now seems to be happening - when im trawling around town, typically 3rd/4th gear at ~2krpm, and dip the clutch at a junction or come to a stop the revs climb and sit at ~3krpm for 3-5 seconds.

The guy at the pedestrian crossing thought i was a right twunt whilst i sat there with the engine revving up

Your throttle is probably getting stuck and/or ISV.

Andy did you swap back to your original TPS? That spare one we fitted really was awkward to set, the original seemed much better. Clean that ISV for good measure, could be the reason for your rev-holding issue.

The seal on the back of the coldside could easily be ruled out with a pressure test and some soapy water sprayed round the back of it. As Rich had the coldside off is no stranged to the innards of a turbo, not likely, but worth a check.

Injectors were fine when we tested, it was the IC hoses that were leaking once the pressure built up, albeit only slightly.

The more pressure you run, the "bigger" the leak gets.
Get the car completely leak free.

Normally the WGDC is capped to a mapped value in the ECU.

The value is correct for a certain spring, backpressure (before the turbo) combination and a boost level.

Now, for example, if it's set at 60% in the ECU, by disconnecting the WG hose, you'd be bumping that to 100%.
So for example if it was boosting 1.6 bar before, it might boost 1.9 bar now, but it would not mean that it is a boost control problem.

When you disconnect the WG hose, even the stock little K24-7000 should instantly jump to 1.8 bar. The bigger turbos should go to 2.5 bar of boost and above almost instantly, once it spools up.

Had plenty of cars, which would be 0.2 bar shy, of what they should run, and the owners misdiagnosed the problem this way saying "but it boosts 0.2 bar more now" - it shouldn't just boost 0.2 bar more, it should boost 1 bar more at least
Considering it did not boost on Ross' ECU either, and Ross' ECU is running almost maxed DC on the N75 (he is using a standard 1.4 bar spring), that at least rules out any problems with the map or the MAP sensor.
It could still be beneficial to try to force a higher mechanical boost level.
If it does boost more, as you say it does not prove there is a problem. However, if it does not boost more then it does prove there is a mechanical problem. Turbo problem, WG problem, or a blockage or restriction.

Oh, it'll definitely boost a bit more.
                    The question is how much

But yeah, the fact that it's running 11.5 at 1.4 bar is a strong indication to me that something mechanical is going on. It's still too rich.
Though if there was a hole big enough to let 0.4 bar pass, it should run richer than 11.5 at that boost level. Probably dipping into the low tens.

I still don't have any logs though, Group 000 logs with the LTFT/STFT would give some insight.

is there a link or a DIY for connecting a vagcom to tell you how much boost you are seeing?

You can't see boost over VAG-COM.

I know, my fault... spent an hour digging about in the garage last night to find the zt2 installation CD, but i did find it, eventually!

                          Will post them up ASAP.

Had an absolute ****ing nightmare trying to get logs.

VAG-COM wont stay on during a run, as soon as you give it some it errors with "too many communications", and the zt2 thing is a bit knackered, one of the ports doesn't work, but turning off the LCD and putting the cable into this port got it worked, just not at the same time as VAG-COM.

I wasn't able to get 1 run in VAG-COM, only at idle, but i do have a run on zeitronix.

                            Will try again tomorrow.

I changed the TPS back to the original yesterday, to try and stop the idling issue where the rpm sits anywhere between 1500 and 4000, but no luck. You can feel the car pulling you along in gear, and when you dip the clutch, to change gear or stop at a set of lights, the car just sits there revving it's **** off.

The stalling problem is also back, can't see why this is TPS though. The car went to Bath and back (~200 miles) with no problem at all yesterday, but today on the way to work it was running filthy rich again with a jet of petrol fumes behind it, and it stalled when changing down gears a couple of times. Then in the car park it stalled when trying to pull into a space, and would not start... blocking the god-damn car park at 8:45am until somebody gave me a hand rolling it into a space

No luck with VAGCOM, just get the communication issue. I only have a warm-idle log where it was sat on the drive absolute fine, and a 3rd/4th run in zeitronix.
